Mr Den Moyo
was first elected to the MDC-USA External Assembly Executive as the Secretary for Information and Publicity at its Inaugural Congress in November 2008 in Gaithersburg, MD. Den was instrumental in the formation of the MDC-USA External Assembly in his pivotal role as the Chairman of the 2008 Congress Planning Committee that was tasked with organizing the assembly's Inaugural Congress which was officiated by the MDC National Chairman and Speaker of Zimbabwe Parliament Hon. Lovemore Moyo. Den has chaired numerous committees within the MDC-USA structure which include the MDC 10th Anniversary Planning Committee which organized and planned the meeting that was addressed by the MDC President and Right Honorable Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai in Annandale, VA. His leadership as the Ad Hoc Disciplinary Committee Chairman was instrumental in bringing discipline and stability to the Assembly. Prior to being elected as MDC-USA Chairman at the Assembly's 2nd Congress in Cincinnati on March 26, 2011, Mr. Moyo was the MDC-USA Acting Secretary and had occupied that post since 2009. As Secretary, Mr. Moyo worked closely with the former MDC-USA Chairman Dr. Maxwell Shumba in streamlining the assembly and turning it into a robust and professional body that it is today. On a personal level, Den is an Accountant by profession and works in the Insurance Industry. He is the founder and owner of an Insurance Agency and is the President & CEO of his VA based Asset Management Company. Den holds a BSc in Economics and has numerous certifications in Insurance Accounting, and Investment Management.
