"For the past 10years, tens of thousands of Zimbabweans died needlessly because of poor health as a result of ZANU PF's intransigency. Curable diseases took lives because of a lack of a coherent Health Delivery Policy by the then Mugabe led Zimbabwe regime. Today many Zimbabweans in the diaspora are hesitant to return home, among other reasons, because of the state of the health delivery system in Zimbabwe. The Department of Health within the MDC USA aims to contribute positively towards policies which promote the speedy recovery of the Health Sector in our motherland. We wish to do this by contributing to policy formulation via our Party and by sourcing materials (where we can) that are needed to save lives".  Magreth Chidemo, Secretary for Health

Following up on a successful nationwide campaign that mobilized resources to fight cholera, MDC-USA has just launched the Adopt-a-borehole for clean water campaign. The campaign seeks to raise vital funds for the construction of boreholes in a number of rural areas hardest hit by a water crisis.
