The MDC Netherlands Branch was formed on 16 September 2007 at a Practical Training Centre (PTC⁺) in Barneveld, Gelderland Province, in The Netherlands. The branch is under the leadership of Matthew Wedzerai as the chairman.  

The branch has done some fundraising activities (including subscriptions) for the campaign funds and is continuing to do such activities. Mobilisation of university and college students studying in the Netherlands, is one of the branch’s main focus. The branch is engaged in the struggle for Zimbabwe and is recieving assistance and support from other established External Assembly MDC structures (Greater Cincinnati (Ohio), North America and, UK & Ireland branches).Together we will fight for a better Zimbabwe and we are resolute in our struggle for a New Zimbabwe.
