MDC has seen its members in Zimbabwe killed, maimed, imprisoned and tortured by members of the ZANU PF regime. The victims and their relatives need help. MDC recognises the responsibility it shoulders in spearheading the relief efforts aimed at helping the victims of these atrocities. In doing so, MDC established a 'Victims Compensation Fund' which was launched by President Tsvangirai. Today MDC is part of a Transitional Government but our members are still languishing in jail, those who were tortured still need rehabilitation. MDC USA undertakes to continue the struggle for freedom in Zimbabwe and we unequivocally support all the efforts put in by those who are in the Transitional Government to ensure that democracy will be a reality in Zimbabwe.
