MDC-USA launches Adopt-a-borehole Campaign

Following up on a successful nationwide campaign that mobilized resources to fight cholera, MDC-USA has just launched the Adopt-a-borehole for clean water campaign. The campaign seeks to raise vital funds for the construction of boreholes in a number of rural areas hardest hit by a water crisis.

MDC-USA Aggrieved by Continued Abductions

In solidarity with our President  Morgan Tsvangirai, MDC-USA is deeply aggrieved by an escalation in abductions taking place in Zimbabwe.  We unreservedly condemn such cruel and barbaric acts of human rights abuses brazenly sponsored and carefully orchestrated by the government of Zimbabwe.

Hopeless Zimbabweans prepare for bitter 2009

As ever more of her cattle died of starvation, Martha Theron’s despair turned to fury.Three weeks ago, unable to prevent the animals from dying, she grabbed her husband’s gun, ran into a field and began shooting the animals, before  breaking down and weeping uncontrollably.

PUR water purifer packets (the three blue packets). Bottles with purified water. Procter & Gamble will donate one million packets of its PUR water purifier to Zimbabwe to help with the current cholera outbreak there. The packets are enough to purify 10 million liters of drinking water, P&G said.

Beyond Borders Club helps fight Cholera in Zimbabwe

On December 17th, 2008 the humanitarian club Beyond  Borders at Cincinnati State Technical and Community college had a campaign to highlight the health  crisis in Zimbabwe and to raise awareness and aid concerning the humanitarian crisis.
