Why can’t I delete a Section / Category?

A Category must be empty of all Content Items before it can be deleted. A Section must be empty of all Categories before it can be deleted. What’s the difference between a Section and a Category?

A Category is a subset of a Section. Content Items belong to Categories; Categories belong to Sections. The only exception to this hierarchy is Static Content, which exists outside of the Sections > Categories structure.

What is Static Content?

Static Content is simply a content item which is not part of a Section or a Category. Static Content cannot be added to a Blog, a Section or a Category.
